As of my training data (2021), Pluto is no longer classified as a planet by the scientific community. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) redefined the term "planet" and established a new definition that excluded Pluto. According to this definition, a planet must meet three criteria: (1) it must orbit the sun, (2) it must be spherical in shape, and (3) it must have cleared its orbit of other debris. Since Pluto shares its orbit with other Kuiper Belt objects and has not cleared its orbit, it was reclassified as a "dwarf planet".
